Tax Collection and Licensing Division
The purpose of the Tax Collection and Licensing Division is to collect taxes on real property and personal property such as boats, aircraft, and business fixtures and equipment as required by the State of California; to regulate businesses operating in the unincorporated area of Sacramento County to promote improved enforcement of ordinances that protect the public and prevent nuisances and neighborhood disturbances; and file Fictitious Business Name Statements (FBN) on behalf of the County Clerk-Recorder.
Tax Collection & Licensing Specialists are available for customer assistance Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

The Tax Collector urges customers to submit payment for property taxes via mail, online, or by telephone.
Please make your Property tax payment by the due date as stated on the tax bill.
A delinquency penalty will be charged at the close of the delinquency date.
